Ostrava, November 13, 2023 – SENCO Příbram has successfully obtained financial support for the modernization of its intralogistics thanks to well-prepared documentation and the economic return on investment of the project. It has chosen an experienced supplier of comprehensive logistics solutions, KVADOS, a.s., to implement the project.
Project description
As part of the company’s development, an opportunity was identified to improve production quality through reliable material supply by modernizing intralogistics. The idea arose to modernize the outdated logistics space and add control and automation elements.
To develop the idea, cooperation was established with the specialized consulting company LOGICON Partner, s.r.o., and a logistics study defined variants for the possible development of logistics. The company’s management opted for a modern solution using automation. To implement this significant project, which involved the delivery of a comprehensive logistics management tool (WMS), a robotic solution for storing smaller parts in KLT boxes, and an expansion of the pallet warehouse capacity, the company applied for a grant from the EU’s Digital Enterprise program.
Thanks to well-prepared documentation and a meaningful economic return, the company received the subsidy and, in an open tender, selected an experienced supplier of comprehensive logistics solutions, KVADOS, a.s., which proposed a solution from HAI Robotics for automation and robotization that allows for the efficient use of existing warehouse space. This solution provides advanced robotic technology for the efficient storage and handling of small parts using 10-meter-high KLT robots and contributes to the overall improvement of warehouse operational efficiency. Efficient handling is complemented by two workstations with conveyor support and the autonomous pallet robot myFABER® PalletJack X20.
Project progress and technology implementation
The tender and subsequent contract were signed in January 2023. Work on developing a comprehensive solution design began immediately, and a study was launched on the deployment of WMS and its integration with other information systems used by SENCO. After developing a comprehensive design solution and technical part of the project, key components such as myFABER® HaiPick robots, a conveyor, a racking system, and more than 7,000 KLT boxes were ordered.
Construction work and modifications to the premises, floors, and electrical installations began in the warehouse itself, while the warehouse and production continued to operate at full capacity. Delivery and gradual installation will take place by the end of 2023 so that, according to the project schedule, trial and test operations can take place from the beginning of 2024 until the middle of the year, with a gradual ramp-up of operations until the end of 2024.

For maximum flexibility and quality, it has its own support facilities, including CNC sheet metal processing, metalworking, and powder coating of metals. Thanks to additional machinery such as milling machines and lathes, it is also able to manufacture more complex parts and has its own cable assembly facility.
About the general contractor KVADOS, a.s.
For more than 30 years, KVADOS, a.s. has specialized in providing comprehensive intralogistics solutions and is currently the largest WMS supplier in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In recent years, it has also expanded its expertise to include industrial automation and logistics robotics, thanks in part to a series of acquisitions.
Within the KVADOS Group, it now supplies not only its own product, mySTOCK® WMS, but also robotic technologies under the myFABER® brand, which includes major manufacturers such as HAI Robotics, HIK Robot, Cubiscan, as well as the myFABER® WES control software layer itself.
The solution incorporates technologies from KVADOS, HAI Robotics, BITO, LOGSYS, and Toyota Material Handling.
About HAI Robotics
Founded in 2016, HAI Robotics is committed to gathering global talent to advance human civilization through robotic technology. Its goal is to equip every warehouse and factory with logistics robots. The HaiPick solution is the world’s first autonomous robotic box handling system (ACR). Unlike other existing autonomous mobile robot solutions, it intelligently identifies the required crates or cartons, rather than the entire rack, and autonomously brings them to the workstation.
With a workforce of 1,800 employees, 50% of whom are technicians and engineers, it produces highly innovative solutions and its technologies are used in more than 1,100 projects. It is a recognized global leader in the ACR solutions segment, thanks in part to its more than 1,800 patents.
