Intralogistics is undergoing a revolution. For the first time in the Czech Republic, a fully autonomous PalletJack robotic pallet truck has been put into operation in a warehouse. We officially launched the robot on May 4, 2023, at our showroom in Paskov near Ostrava. The event partners were T-Mobile, HAI Robotics, DEXTRUM Fulfillment, and the professional association APIL (Association for Innovation in Logistics).
We have expanded our portfolio of autonomous robots with the PalletJack robotic pallet truck. It is designed for handling in narrow aisles and is suitable for a wide range of warehouse types with various pallet operations. The automated robotic pallet truck is mainly used for horizontal handling of goods in warehouses for loading and unloading goods.
More than 200 participants attended the grand opening. Manufacturing and logistics companies were present, as were companies from the automotive sector and other industries and areas. PalletJack was connected to T-Mobile’s first commercial 5G private network and demonstrated its capabilities in all their glory. You can read more about the launch in our press release.
So what can PalletJack actually do?
🔎 The robot is controlled using lidar – no route creation using QR codes or similar navigation elements.
🔎 The robot navigates using an embedded map. It is equipped with a range of safety features and is certified for use in environments where it will come into contact with workers.
🔎As it moves, it projects light elements onto the floor and uses beacons to alert others to its movement.
🔎 Protective sensors monitor the area around the robot in 360° and eliminate the possibility of collision with operators or obstacles in the warehouse.
