The renowned publishing company Euromedia Group has launched one of the largest technology projects in the Czech Republic. Construction of a revolutionary robotic warehouse in Stochov, Central Bohemia, which is literally overflowing with technology, has been underway since this year. The group has established cooperation with leading technology experts, one of which is the KVADOS Group. Our mySTOCK® WMS (Warehouse Management System) and myFABER® WES (Warehouse Executive System) solutions will fully cover the logistics flows of the entire warehouse.
The largest technological project in Czech book logistics
With more than thirty years of experience on the market, Euromedia Group publishes 700 new titles a year, operates the largest book wholesaler in the Czech Republic, and runs the Luxor bookstore chain. The company’s growth was not slowed down even by last year’s noticeable deterioration of the economic situation in the Czech Republic, and it continued to grow in terms of both order volume and profits. With the growing demand for books, the company’s storage facilities must also grow, and it is rebuilding them this year. The project to build a new 10,000 m² robotic warehouse concentrates a huge amount of technology in one place.
The heart of the robotic warehouse is the myFABER® WES and mySTOCK® WMS control layer.
Our mySTOCK® WMS solution plays a key role in this project, intelligently controlling and navigating all the technology represented in the warehouse. Thanks to intuitive controls and artificial intelligence, it ensures the smooth movement of goods in the warehouse, delegates tasks to employees and robots, and oversees inventory planning and capacity management. nbsp;At the same time, the WMS layer also communicates with the myFABER® WES layer, which independently assigns specific tasks to specific robots and workstations. All of this together creates perfect technological synergy, the driving force behind which remains the human factor.
Space saving with modular technology
The biggest challenge for warehouses is often the growth in the volume of goods. Increasing capacity can be very costly and offer no added value. That is why the Euromedia Group warehouse has implemented the Autostore solution, which offers the highest storage density of all ASRS systems on the market. Element Logic took on this ambitious project and supplied the warehouse with approximately 90 of its robots along with other accessories.

It not only saves space in the warehouse, but also streamlines and speeds up the entire order picking process. The robots move along aluminum frames using a predefined route set by the myFABER® WES system. This is one of the largest implementations of Autostore.
All sections are subject to the power of automation
Further space savings are achieved with Jungheinrich pallet racks and semi-automatic VNA trucks. The racking system moves precisely as instructed by the myFABER®WES layer. It automatically creates aisles from the racks, in which the VNA truck moves along an induction wire. The entire process is controlled on site by an operator via a tablet, which sends precise instructions to the truck.
The process of shipping a single item is thought out down to the last detail. One of the final stops is the CartonWrap automatic packaging line produced by CMC, which is controlled by the mySTOCK® WMS system. But the technological cocktail does not end there. The packaged goods are stored in up to nine high-bay racking systems from the Kardex system, which communicates with Pick-to-Light technology. All goods in KLT boxes are moved from one workstation to another on roller conveyors from TMT.
By introducing the most advanced technologies, the Euromedia Group warehouse will gain an unrivaled advantage in express delivery of goods to its customers. Robotization and automation will free up many employees, who can then focus on improving customer service.
